El Cuarto Piso es la historia de una mujer que atraviesa una serie de cambios después de su divorcio. Su estabilidad tanto emocional como económica resultaron sumamente afectadas después de que su marido fuese despedido de su empleo. Ella decide mudarse a la ciudad en la cual lucha por subsistir y encontrar un techo que pueda pagar con sus pocos ingresos, esto la lleva a rentar una habitación en un edificio muy viejo y descuidado el cual, aparentemente, únicamente cuenta con tres pisos, sin embargo, el viejo edificio guarda un oscuro secreto.
