Jordan Beckerman is an aspiring comedian living a pretty average life, looking for a partner who will love him unconditionally for being who he is - a less than stellar comic. Fortunately for him and his off-the-wall humor, Jordan finds a match on Tinder halting his fears of growing old and dying alone. It seems as if things are finally looking up for Jordan ... until his tragic past rears its ugly head once again, reminding him of the ominous life lesson his mother once told him:

"Live everyday as if it's your last 'cause tomorrow is never promised."

Katherine has a baggage full of insecurities and trust issues. She never had an official boyfriend and being 24 that's socially unacceptable. The danger those grey eyes emit should scare her away. He was trouble and she knew that but she couldn't help it. The attraction she feels towards him is scaring her. Is it worth taking the risk? ........ "Can you cook?" "I can" "Good, what about laundry and cleaning?" I nodded. "Fuck Angel, you're like the perfect woman and you still want me to be your friend" He joked and found myself laughing. "Because I am the perfect housewife?" I asked arching an eyebrow. "No, because you are the perfect combination of smart, beautiful, and skillful." I blushed at that and I wanted to look away but one of his hands stopped me and turned my face towards him. "Get used to hearing compliments because you're going to hear them often in the future. Now, about my offer..." He gave me an expectant look. I thought for a while. I still wasn't sure it was a good idea but I liked working at the shop and still wanted to work there for a little while. "Alright, let's do it," I said. "Now? Here? Damn Angel, first the fiancé thing, and now this. For someone inexperienced, you sure move fast" He joked and I laughed. *Warning ⚠️* Strong language, triggering topics such as body shaming, depression...

Dead to Him

16 parts Complete

"I need your help." After all these years, 16 years of being "dead" to him, he comes back for her help. She's not that stupid anymore, he broke her and she had to piece herself back together, shard by shard. Now, he's back and asking for her help. What fool would say yes? 16 whole years of being alone, not even a text or a call to see how she's doing and now suddenly, he arrives at her door. Everyone gets hurt in the end, it's only fair. People say, "life isn't fair", but in the end, everything has an outcome, an outcome they deserve. Things changed, but certainly not for the better.
