In the middle of the night, Y/N is taken away by a mysterious group of men. They bring her to an unknown location and start doing all kinds of tests on her, breaking her apart and putting her back together. 

Finally, they're done, and they give her an oh so simple mission:

I know that there are those few "winter soldiers" who froze to death, which was announced in Civil War, so this is going to be a story about there being another winter soldier who wasn't put into the ice because some certain people were being impatient. It wasn't until Hydra fell and she was still locked away, somewhere in the deep pits of some underground facility, that she realized how much the world had changed. Bucky Barnes remembered very little outside his own name, but he remembered a girl. He remembered a girl with a voice of reason, who spoke only the truth to him, who wanted nothing more than to keep him safe from himself.
