"You can check out anytime you like but you can never leave" - Hotel California by The Eagles I've actually wanted to write a story based on this line for awhile now and why not do it about a haunted hotel ? Incorporating some aspects of "The Haunting of Hill House" as well, like all those who die in the house, stay there forever Also pulling architectural details from the Winchester Mystery House Inspiration includes Miss Peregrine's House for Peculiar Children Hotel is based off the Claremont Hotel in California Setting: a stand alone / massive hotel (only one building, but imagine a hotel similar to the one in the shining) spread across many acres. In (not a desert but an environment similar to a desert) in California. Time period: 1970's Characters: Heather, age 24. Christine, age 26. Lori, age 23. Plot: 3 friends have heard this legend about a hotel in the middle of nowhere and decide to go and see if it is real or if it is really just a legend.

Floor 31

The world is ending. The Earth is painted with the blood of humans. Only zombies and monsters roam the lands now. But in the last standing building, 6 teenagers unexpectedly meet each other. Each helping another to survive the dangers of the what the world has become. They bond, they trust but Dream stands out from the others because she is strange and mutant-like. No one could fully trust her, not that it'd matter anyway because Dream trusts no one except herself. So, when they receive a message which sends them to the very top of the hotel. Floor 31. They are forced to fight and kill zombies and monsters just for a chance of safety. But does this 'safety' even exist?
