When a horrifying truth came out of goggles' mouth: "Inkopolis is about to be destroyed!" He, rider, hachi, nana, and his teammates failed to stop Tartar. Now, people are dead. everyone mourns as they hide in a cave with whatever rations they could grab.

The Grudge Disease *NEWLY UPDATED (2026)*
This is a sequel to "The Grudge"! It is recommended that you read that story first for added context. It's not just Aloha acting weird anymore, it's everyone. Update: I completely re-wrote chapters 6-7 (yes, how unfortunate) recently by myself. All other chapters have had extra things added overall and small mistakes corrected. There is in fact a third story in the works, partially up if you'd like more! (It's called the "Grudge Disorder". It's a work in progress.) DISCLAIMER: This is a fanfiction of the Splatoon Coro Coro manga by Sankichi Hinodeya. I do not encourage the violent actions in this story. This is my first story. Now here is the description. So it has been about 30 minutes since off the hook has announced the current stages and then out of no wear, there is a live off the hook breaking news report. Pearl and Marina announce in a panic that both Callie and Marie from the Squid sisters are missing. Then the lights go out and a few sanitized octolings throw a tarp over the window. In a world where the government feels like it's run more like The Purge meets 28 Days Later, there's not much else he can do but survive, and he can't afford to be picky about how he spends his downtime or who is or isn't waiting on him when (if) he ever goes home to Washington. What more could he want? Still, on a whim, he signs up for the 'Letters from Home' program. A way for soldiers to talk to someone, get care packages, when they have little to no one left in the states. It's through this that he's matched with Toby Fritz. And it's through Toby that Kevin starts thinking he's worth more than the words scribed across the back of his uniform jacket that read, "Property of the US Army- PC Control Unit". After Kevin's time overseas is up, he finds himself back in the states, potentially face to face with his pen pal. Writing those heartfelt, personal words through a letter, and saying them in person, are two incredibly different things. Not to mention, war has a habit of following weary soldiers home (in more ways than old scars and nightmares). And Kevin's figuring out that the field isn't the only place that can turn into a warzone. -- This story is entirely based on fictional characters and events.
