Desiree is broke. She's forced to drop out of school, her junior year and is put in a group home where she later runs away from, taking a bus to LA, a city where she's hopes to start a new life in to become a designer, to live her dream and live a life better than the one she left behind. A good plan but not a solid one. No one wants to hire a sixteen year old teenager with an unfinished education and no diploma.

Now at eighteen, she has a job that pays for her bills and very little food she can afford, little to no possessions that she owns except for a few things she has of her parents. No family to care for her, only a boss that lets her take home a few scraps of food that wasn't sold and a few friends that stand by her. She's a struggling mess, barely making her payments with a jerk of a landlord with grabby hands.

Little does she know she caught the attention of an older but young man that soon becomes her stalker. He watches as the young Desiree struggles, barely making it on her own. She's tired, mentally and physically with sore feet from working hard to pay for her expenses. He wants to own her, possessing her and take care of Desiree, give her a life he knows she deserves. One day he takes matters into his own hands and whisks her away from her ordinary life to give her the one he thinks is best for her.
