Sam has the worst life ever. Her mom died when she was really young, and her father is an abusive and alchaholic drug addict. They live in a small apartment in New York City. That is, untill the police arrest her father for grand theft auto, murder, drug dealing, and child abuse. After that, she moves to Los Angeles to live with the Charlstons. Ana, Peter, and their daughter Lindsy. Sam hates her new sister. She and Lindsy are just too different.
Lindsy's life is absolutly perfect. She lives in a gorgeous mansion in Los Angeles with her totally awesome parents, Ana (A model) and Peter (A plastic surgeon) Everything is just fine, that is untill her mom gets fired and they start losing money. And then they adopt another kid. The daughter of an abusive outlaw in NYC. Samantha Lewis. Lindsy tries to like her, but Sam obviously hates Lindsy. They're just too different.
