Mia is my name, but hardly anyone ever calls me that. Some say I'm a jinx, and some say I'm cursed. I can't say they are wrong because nothing has ever gone right for me. I haven't gone a single day without having something bad happen. A good day for me would be falling down a flight of stairs, which has happened more times than I can count. I don't know why my life has been this way for 16 years, but I have learned to accept it. Or at least as much as I can. It isn't easy being a damned jinx your whole life.
