Beyond the Walls

"Could you learn to love a monster, Mercier?" The broken, soft voice escaped the taller boy as he stared at the girl in front of him. Her light emerald eyes only stared up into his as the candle flickered. She felt her breath hitch at the change of tone from his usually shy voice. There was a moment of silence that lingered in the air before finally, she broke the tension with a shaky sigh.

"Bertholdt," she began slowly as she took a dangerously closer step to him. "I already did."

Caroline De Villepin is a young girl that has lived her entire life within the third wall's village within the Yarkel District. Originally trying to go beyond the walls to find her old "friend", Josephine now hunts for the reason her close friends have turned into traitors and caused the ensuing chaos within the three walls of Paradis. Will she figure out the truth of the titans or merely become a snack for them? Will she find out what is going on or will others realize there is a secret within her as well?
