A society where "individuals" is no longer. Where no one has names, but numbers written on their necks above their collar bone. Where everyone addresses themselves as "We" and "Our" instead of "I" and "My."

"It's a sin to write letters upon paper that no one else can see. It is a sin to think words no others can. We are willing to sin for the sake of our being. May mercy cover our souls and allow us to be one. We, Female 6-8923, shall write until the day we leave this community by dying at the age of our time."

Dreams (Scomiche)

12 Bagian Lengkap

Dreams. Everyone has them. For Scott, dreams meant freedom. Dreams meant escape. Dreams meant he could see. For Mitch, dreams weren’t dreams at all. Dreams were nightmares, dark and dangerous. For Scott, dreams were an escape. An escape from a life in which everyone pities him. Because in real life, Scott couldn’t see a thing. It was an accident, when he was a senior in high school. One year ago. An accident that left him blind and alone. Until Mitch. For Mitch, nothing was an escape. Dreams meant nightmares and real life meant Travis. And Travis meant pain. For Mitch, nothing was an escape. Until Scott. Scott, the blind boy who he’d agreed to help out because he needed the community service. Scott, the blind boy who was the only one who saw the world his way. Scott hadn’t wanted to be the charity case. But he needed the help, only being blind a year. So he let Mitch become his helper. And Mitch was a better helper than he could have hoped. It was weird, how gifts worked.
