Chiron was never killed by Achilles, Sieg and Astolfo weren't the only ones to enter the Greater Grail, and Amakusa and Sieg weren't the only ones whose wishes were granted. In an age of heroes remnants of a time long past still remain and Midoirya ends up with a centaur as a teacher.

His goal is to win the Grail war. But to also make sure Irisviel doesn't die. He is promised that even if he fails to win the Grail war but is able to make sure Irisviel remains alive with Kiritsugu then he can still become human and live a human life.
