It wasn't the brightest idea (M/N) had, to take a shortcut through the forest. He comes across a clearing in the forest, with trees that acted as doorways. He chooses a doorway, thinking that he'd hide in the tree trunk. He enters another world, except the locals don't take too kindly to him.
