The story begins on the first day of junior year. Molly Asher cannot bare the idea of going, but knows she must. She'll face the rumors, death glares, and heartache that she's been avoiding all summer.
Eric Ross, the teacher who is new to Ridgewall High. As he meets and forms a friendship with Molly, he begins to hear and uncover the truth in all the lies. Will he see beneath the words and take her into a world of love, or will he be unable to see past it and leave her lost forever?
