She's a lover, fighter and a baller. Ariah James has always struggled with building and keeping relationships. It started young when she lost her biological father to cancer at the age of nine. She's struggled with what people like to call "daddy issues." And since then she's been yearning for that male connection or any connection at that. Her step father has been in her life even before the passing of her biological father and they bond on a special kind of level with the shared connection of their love and dedication to the game but also because they both lost a parent to the battle of cancer. She loves her step father but can't find it in her to call him dad, and she knows it hurts especial because her step sister calls her mother; mom. Ariah has many personal battles and demons she's battling along this journey she calls life. She feels the pressure as it's time for her decide where she wants to sign to for college. Does she want to accept a scholarship for baseketball and prove all her hard work has paid off? Or is she tired of the game and wants to figure out what else there is to in life? I felt his hand as it gently pushed the strands of hair that were blocking his view of my face, behind my shoulder. The words leaving his lips sounded so good that I had to look to make sure he'd actually said them.
