The year 2147 was a year of hope for us, with the arrival of the Golik, an alien race, who were kind and wanted nothing more than to help us. Alongside the Golik, we had five years of peace and prosperity with them, both races gaining knowledge from the other and building to create a wonderful relationship with the other. After five years of peace and prosperity, then the peace ran out and the invasion began. The first world is the key ____________________________ This tells the tale of two men who live at a point in time where the galaxy has been colonized and people are running out of new places to live. Governments have ignored this problem for eons, pressing forward while the people suffer behind them. Many desolate worlds exist that cannot support life, but the technology exists to terraform them in a short amount of time. The increasing demand for new planets is insatiable, however, and barely habitable worlds are being colonized despite the incredible risk. The men search these worlds in the hopes that they might find one where life exists such that its example could be used to save the whole galaxy from its many ecological crises, bringing a balance between progress and long-term survival. Instead they come across the worst case scenario- a worldwide environmental collapse. Their story begins here.

Before the universe existed, God was. Not the God of man made religions but an omniscient presence known only to himself. Then humans were created. Humans multiplied and covered the face of the Earth. Then reaching out to the stars they sought to claim what they believed to be theirs, to share with whatever other sentient species was there. But they found none like themselves. Thinking themselves alone in the universe after centuries of seeking other intelligent life a malaise enters their collective soul. It is then that Earth is unexpectedly contacted by a seemingly omniscient 'voice' heard by all. Told the Earth must be evacuated, humans are encouraged to leave with urgency when first Mercury and then Venus are destroyed. It seems to them that God is not happy. Having reached out to the stars, human kind believed all was theirs, to be shared with beings like themselves who awaited their arrival. Humans had claimed as their own that which they thought to be theirs. Many worlds were discovered. However, they were worlds without life; habitable and yet uninhabited. The offspring of God could find no others like themselves. They then realized, and they regretted, the universe was theirs alone. In denying God they had sought of themselves as gods. And having rejected the Creator of all they possessed, they were now alone in the universe...or so they had thought.

The world was deemed unliveable in 2025. Humans were moved to space stations in order to survive, looking for a new planet to call home. The year is now 2050, and we still have not found a planet. I was born on this ship but my parents were alive when Earth 'died.' I've been chosen to journey to the planet of Alalea in hopes of finally finding somewhere to live. I never thought I would call this place home until I met him. (Based on the world of avatar. This story and characters are completely original and my own!)
