Aurora Alistair is a lone vampire, navigating the world with a haunting past heavy on her shoulders. She never stays in one place for too long, and resides in the comfort of the darkness that protects her from the sun's wrath against her species.
During her lonely journey, she encounters a newly-transitioned vampire in his first hunt whom she decides to help out of pity. She decides to allow him to tag along with her, when she finds out his Creator has irresponsibly left him to fend for himself. Only temporarily, that is, until he is fully capable to be off on his own.
With a new companion by her side, Rory's old wounds begin to slowly reopen, and she will be forced to face her daunting past.
