Saving Max -Remake (2020)

---

I think I assumed silence would invite silence.

That maybe for the first time in my god-forsaken life I would have some quiet.

But no.

Silence does not invite silence.

Silence invites noise.

People have a constant need to fill the space around them. Silence makes people deeply uncomfortable, so they fill it with their own chaos.

And I hear everything.

That another thing. People think if you don't speak then you don't hear-as if my vocal cords and eardrums are all the same thing.

Or maybe if you're quiet enough people just forget you exist at all. So they talk and talk, and I listen, and I hear it all.

So I heard the stirring around me. The clues came from fragments of whispers from he nurses in the halls. I could feel the excitement stirring among the other patients at breakfast in cafeteria. Something was different about today.

Today was not a normal day.

Max is a 15-year-old resident of a mental health treatment center for troubled youth. Max has not uttered a single word since she was 10 years old, the day she became a ward of DHS. Her life since has been an unstable chaotic story of foster homes and treatment centers, and she is about to reach the end of the line. The world has given up on her. The question is, is there such a thing as too broken to be fixed?

[ THE MIDNIGHT CLUB 2022] CELESTE PARK was admitted into Brightcliffe Hospice just because she was crazy. That's what the other kids in her neighborhood used to say. Her doctor said it was Schizophrenia. A brain disorder as all the adults had agreed on. For Celeste, she'd believed it was neither yet she had no choice but to oblige. Because no one would believe her if she'd said there were shadowed people walking down the hallway of her home through the gap of her doorway in the dark. If she'd said there was a small kid whose mouth sealed tight, standing in the corner of her bedroom holding a china doll. If she'd said she'd been hearing voices in the dead of night that not even her parents or any of her friends could. Celeste grew up in a family loved by many, and that automatically made her popular at her own school. She was a healthy normal girl since kindergarten, leading up to her highschool year; Junior. Where it all went downhill that led to a car accident, all thanks to her seeing a bent neck lady at the backseat of her car. There's nothing more than a popular girl gone crazy. Because of Park's reputation, to save it, her parents sent her to the Hospice randomly in hopes for her to recover. But months have passed, instead of getting better, she became worse. She was secluded from the rest of her friends, she wasn't allowed to leave the building unless she had an escort. Her parents had given up on her and had stopped visiting her on family day. Celeste lost all hope. That was until Ilonka came.

(This book needs to be rewritten. If you read it before I do please try to ignore the grammar. It is ad though so I am just warning you lol. It needs editing." Jessica Lynn Toast is your everyday 18-year-old... Except she's not. This is how she went from kind and loving Princess Jessica to Psycho crazy demon murderer Jessi casket. Her childhood crush shows up out of nowhere, completely different. He's bloody and carrying a knife. He radiates insanity and could strick at any moment. So why does that make her heart race with anticipation? Why does the sight of blood make her happy? And why does her brother not care about it at all? What happens when you put a Werewolf Toast, a Silverheart Ghost, a Demon Jimmy, and an Immortal Genius Spencer, with an Overpowered blood-crazed demi-demon girl. ~7/23/18 - #1 in #Venturian ~This is a Ghost/Jimmy X Oc story so please no hate. ~There is a lot of blood and death so trigger warning ahead of time. I don't say it throughout the story. If you don't like bloody details I would not read. The main character is a serial killer. And so is Jimmy so... ~Towards the end of the book things start to get more Triggering so please careful reading if you are sensitive to these things. Such as in a heart to heart, where there is a sort of self-harming section. Also, check out Venturiantale if you don't already know them. *Don't Forget Who You Are! Don't Forget Where You Come From! Just Don't Forget!*
