Kylo Ren and Rey both fight for what they believe in. But the past can never stay hidden, the powers inside cannot be tamed forever. Battling each other in a war so close to home, they have never felt so alone. Can Kylo stay illuminated in the light?
Can Rey protect those closest to her and battle her past, before her demons engulf her into the Dark Side? To protect those she loves she needs to make a choice and to be reborn into who she truly is.

This is basically The Last Jedi, but it's the sequel to Son of Skywalker Book I. I do not own Star Wars, this is just a fan fiction and is made just for fun.

This is my version of the third chapter of the new Star Wars trilogy. I will not change anything that happened in either Force Awakens or Last Jedi. I will uphold the restrictions that resulted from the sad death of Carrie Fisher and will only draw from the deleted scenes or audio from pre-existing Star Wars movies and properties. Whilst I appreciated what Last Jedi was trying to do, I did not actually like it. However, I have no intention of undoing any of the main plot points or revelations that were in it. E.g. Rey will certainly not be a Palpatine. The story will not contain any Reylo. I know, I know: I love it too, but it was really weird seeing it as canon in the Rise of Skywalker. Do not expect it here. She's lost faith in him, she believes her vision was only a vision. But she just can't seem to forget the look in his eyes when he fought by her, when he killed his Supreme Leader, when he understood her after the dark cave consumed her. She can't seem to forget him. Then there's Resistance pilot Poe Dameron. Rey hardly knows him and yet now she's strongly captivated by him, drawn to him by an aura that feels so positive and so warm and welcome. But he has a hatred for Ben Solo that is unexplained, and Rey fears that her friendship with Poe will prevent her from bringing Ben home. Who will Rey choose?
