Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my chest making me drop from the bed and fall on the floor holding my chest. I inhaled painfully aware that someone was hurt, someone of mine wolves were hurt may be deadly. I consecrate on the person and it is near. I can hear Luna Patricia panicking trying to talk to me but I couldn't even spare her a second.

"At the border. Go now!" Jemma said making me jolt up to my feet.

"Ariana, what happened are you alright? Where are you going?" She kept asking me things that I didn't have the time to answer.

"I am sorry I have to go I will be back," I said running off the room cursing myself that I couldn't shift.

Running down the stairs I flew the door open and walking outside I sniffed the air immediately jolting south. I knew that I am not supposed to shift but that didn't stop me to reach a supernatural speed.

It took me almost three minutes to reach the Packs borders. Minutes crucial. I could smell the metallic scent of blood in the air. I could hear wolves growling. Coming out of the three-line I stopped running reaching a small clearing. Two guards were fighting a wolf.

A Rogue. One of MINE wolves.

A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers. ***** It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life. [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]
