“A Templar Knight is truly a fearless knight, and secure on every side, for his soul is protected by the armour of faith, just as his body is protected by the armour of steel. He is thus doubly armed, and need fear neither demons nor men." Bernard de Clairvaux, c. 1135 Ackerley De Godefroy’s life in Suffolk in the 12th century was very ordinary; well, ordinary for a young nobleman. He worked alongside his older brother, for his father, collecting taxes and keeping the manor running as smooth as possible. Not exactly dreaming of a life outside his rural haven, incidents on the 10th October 1188 would change his life forever. Whether for the good, the bad, or for destiny, Ackerley was about to embark on an historic journey.
