The mysterious black pit opened on their school grounds, releasing monster after monster to hunt its residents. Rian discovered that he and his sister were the only things, that could close it. He didn't allow his sister to sacrifice herself, jumping heroically in the pit, erasing himself from everyone's memories. Hope, due to their twin bond, was the only one who remembered him.
