Ah the wonderful Academy, filled with monsters, demons, and mythical creatures. It was first built as a place for humans and monsters to learn about each other, but it slowly turned into more. Normally, parents would send their kids here when they have gotten into trouble. Since the world is facing a lot of problems between rights for monsters, this is the only safe place for their children.

Have you ever thought when you were little that you could have magical powers? Maybe you did but then you grew up and you forgot about it. But what if I told you that there are people with these special gifts? They could be you, or me, or your classmates. And some of those people found a place for them - a school. Aveus Umbras Academy or for short "AU Academy" is somewhere in upstate NY. Why somewhere? Because even if you search every corner of every aisle, you won't be able to find this school. The Gate will present itself only to those with "magical blood". Between those students is also one girl, Kaitlin, a freshman at Aveus Academy. This story follows Kaitlin and her life at the academy, unraveling the secrets of her past, talks about the hardships of her present, and her mystical future. A contemporary NA urban fantasy story with academy and mythic elements - perfect for fans of Percy Jackson, The Magicians and Harry Potter. This story consists of multiple books. Parts: - Descendants of Magic (finished) - Heirs of Power (finished) - Queen of Wolves (finished) © Dannie Lex
