In the world of Falnirest, only a single continent stands. Ruled by a single, immortal, apathetic woman. Ambrosia Nenaori. The world is small, small enough to harbor only five kingdoms. From Glossolalia, the city of the unsleeping dead, to Oantheir, the nation without magic, many kingdoms in the world stand upon the precipice of all-out war. Standing at the forefront of a coup, Alabaster, the youngest son of the previous king, has usurped the throne of Oantheir, a technologically advanced kingdom sitting in the very center of the world. His power is limited almost entirely by the nobility, yet he is the only one who can prevent the nation from falling apart. With the aid of his closest allies, his knowledge of common bestiary, and the wits he holds tightly to his chest, he might push against the nobility and prevent the coming calamity that all know is approaching fast. That is if ambition, greed, and betrayal don't tear his duties from him by force.

[C O M P L E T E D] Finished on 1 Jan 2019 It is now the 22th Century and the year is 2112. Times are extremely different from the 21st Century. Now, the world is divided into only four continents- and Alara Berrera resides in Excidium. In Excidium, children are kidnapped from the low-class families who live in the rural areas. This is done to 're-populate' the upper-class families of Excidium- as well as the Governors, who rule this particular country. At age eight, Alara Berrera witnessed the kidnapping of her brother who was kidnapped by the Amorals. After the traumatic incident, her mother fell ill and the Berrera family collapsed. The Amorals are a group of people working for the Governors- the ruling party in Excidium- and do their dirty work for them, such as kidnapping young children from poor Exicidiums. Ever since that fateful day, Alara is determined to fight against them as she believes that she will have a better life once that is accomplished. However, what will Alara do to get what she wants, and what will it cost her? What secrets would she uncover as she tries to reunite her family? Names of characters subject to change Boss is a single mother and the commander of a small squad of rebel agents who dream of putting an end to the corruption of those in power. In the face of food shortages and dwindling finances, the leaders of the rebellion have begun to take drastic action, which Boss has been strongly and vocally in opposition to. This voice of dissonance is not something they can afford to let go, and so an attempt is made of the lives of Boss and her subordinates. Those who survived the attempt owe it to a mysterious mage, who without knowing them or their cause, risked his life to help them get to safety. But there is no such thing as a good samaritan in times of turmoil such as these, and Boss is convinced that this sorcerer has ulterior motives. She has more immediate concerns however, such as a gift from the mythical ferryman, who asks that she kill on his behalf to prevent the greatest threat to survival that humanity has ever known.
