This story takes place in the universe and setting of Vivienne Medrano's Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, meaning a few characters those serieses may show up in this. . . . . Smitten is a demon who had died and gone to Hell, Lucifer appointing him as the Guardian of the Gates, scanning people's sins and deciding their eternal punishment. He is known as the "All Seeing Eye" for his multiple disembodied eyes that spy on sinners throughout the Nine Circles. . . . Jewel is an angel, who had seen the princess of Hell, Charlie's, idea and announcement for the Happy Hotel, a place to rehabilitate the wide array of sinners. Jewel thought this unusual for the princess to do, but decided that it's something very considerate and wanted to go greet Charlie, congratulating her on what good she was doing.
