The world is in war and has been since the beginning of time. In the shadows, the circles fight the evils to protect the normals, but good and evil is not always that simple. 
Many years after her father and brothers death Weylyn is pulled into their world as the first dark circle in a hundred years. Meanwhile, Zephyr, one of the last angeli evils has to flee after he poisoned the leader of Pinalliset, the biggest group of evils. Despite having different goals and being on different sides of the war Weylyn and Zephyr join forces to try to find a crystal that can be used to win the war. While fighting a war the children also have to struggle with right and wrong, whether they are on the right side of the war and siblings on the other side.
