Gerard's life was almost perfect; hot boyfriend, good relationship with his family, great job as a professional comics illustrator, and he even managed to get a lavish apartment with his childhood best friend, Jamia.
There wasn't much he would change about his life, except for one tiny detail. Jamia's hot as fuck, asshole boyfriend- Frank Iero.
Gerard truly believed that the only reason Frank was put on this earth was to torment him. They do say the shorter you are the closer you are to hell, and man was this guy short.
Frank reminded Gerard of his high school bullies, minus the physical violence. Frank preferred much more to cut Gerard with his words rather that hit him- at least he could give the punk that much.
That was pretty much his only complaint, though. He thought everything was going amazing, nothing could possibly go wrong, right? Wrong.
Gerard's world suddenly took a sharp turn when he walked in on the love of his life in bed with someone else, and when he stepped through his front door, heartbroken and exhausted from crying the whole way home, who else would be there to comfort him but Frank Iero?
Would Frank fight the demons away? Or would it just be more torture on Gerard's heart and soul?

So in honor of MCR OFFICIALLY getting back together, the new tour and most importantly the new influx of FRERARD content, I have decided to start a new fic! This idea has actually been in my drafts for YEARS, but I decided, what better time to write and release it than now?

Parents that act like their part of the fucking WBC... A flaming homosexual son... This is going to work out great. (The story will be better than the intro, I swear!!) Gerard's parents are religious, they value their beliefs above their sons. But Gerard doesn't believe in such things. Gerard was different than all the other people his age. He always had been. Frerard TRIGGER WARNING Gerard just needs some help. He won't get any help, and he won't listen to Mikey, or his mom. Really, he's isolating himself to protect them, and everything is getting worse. After waking up on his bathroom floor, he knows it's gone too far, but he's just letting everything slip out of his hands. That is, until Frank appears out of nowhere and tells him to stop. Frank Iero just needs someone. His mom is never around, and his dad is out of the picture, leaving him all alone. He doesn't have any friends, and he feels like he's just fading into oblivion and no one really cares. Really, he's all on his own, and he needs someone. But he never thinks he'll have anyone. That is, until Gerard. So they're both pretty fucked up. But they need each other, and they want each other, and they're determined to make it work. It isn't always easy, in fact, it rarely seems to be. But it's all a bit better if they can just hold each other's hands through it. Highschool is a living hell. At least that's Gerard's opinion because he can't pass the hallways without being shoved against lockers or called a "fag". God, how Gerard hated this word. In his last year of school, he decides to take a risk and starts a school project in which he wants to find out why all of his teachers and classmates hate homosexual people so much. For his project "homophobia is gay" he interviews a few people but decides that this won't be enough. What if he could introduce one of them to his world and show them that it's not bad to be gay? Gerard claimed to be as straight as a crowbar (wait... that's straight right?) and totally didn't have the hots for Frank. For gods sake, Frank was his bandmate, one of his best friends!
