It's been three thousand years since the old civilisation destroyed itself in a war that lasted only three  days. 

But before it fell, the Ancients left an inheritance:  the Mezzo genetically engineered people who, besides long lives, possesses the ability to bring life through songs, to restore a devastated world that became too barren to sustain life.

Achram, a Bass still in training, roam through a perilous world together with his teacher Maron, trying to follow the Way, a long lost practice among their kin who a few centuries ago, isolated themselves in their nation, Elysium.

Together they will need to survive a dangerous world, where their species is both seen with wonder and fear.
