Two intertwining stories merge together to plunge the reader into a world rife with suffocating secrets and hidden agendas.
First-year student, Abigail Coleson, cares for two things in life - surviving university with the helpful aid of coffee and her long-time best friend, Gerald. Suddenly, she discovers that her confident new university friend is a werewolf. Without giving Abigail much time to recuperate, unknown forces intend to use her to further their own goals to rip apart everything that was built by the ruling Alpha of the town of Jacaranda.
Meanwhile, Gerald will soon find himself with divided loyalties and his very character will be tested.

It's hard when no one cares about you and you're beaten because you're scared for your life. You don't know fear until you have this lifestyle. I just need to be saved by anyone. I have dark brown hair and sky blue eyes, which change to red when I feed, but no need to get into detail. They have no idea what their own kind has brought to themselves. As my father gets older, he's getting me more prepared to take his place on the throne. He's also demanding I find a wife. That I am not looking forward to. I haven't wanted anything to do with a woman since my mother, but my dad also wants me to get a pet. Great. See what happens!!
