The Mating Games

Every year there are these games for werewolves to participate in, which determines who is whos mate and should they stay together. In the span of ten days, males would travel the areas that they can go to, to look for their potential mate, hoping that they will be accepted by the Moon Goddess. The females can travel around alone, or in groups to reduce the risk of getting forced by a male, but when alone, they face the dangers of being in the middle of a fight to get claimed. Even some females get engaged in fights to determine their status. Any rank is acceptable, but you have to accept the mate if you feel the connection. You can reject them, but there is a rare chance of finding a second-chance mate or you will have to face the consequences and get paired up with a human. If you find your mate and another male wants to claim the same one, the second male knows that she cannot be taken unless both males engage in a fight. Whoever wins gets to claim the female in front of the losing male.
