Komaeda isn't crazy, he isn't delusional, he isn't happy, either. He just remembers everything. Everything of his past. Everything that makes him unhappy. He just wants to be alone. And it's working. It's working very well, but he knows that at least having someone- anyone- will make him feel... useful, worthful, happy. Komaeda just wants to know what it feels like to be happy again. 

Is that too much to ask?

Hajime Hinata wasn't expecting much when he won the lottery to attend Hope's Peak Academy. The only reason he applied was so he could guarantee scholarship money to go to the same university as his childhood friend Chiaki. Nagito Komaeda is a mute boy. He's been mute his entire life, and fins himself to dream of what it would be like to speak, and being envious of those who do speak. Without any parents or legal guardians to adopt him or such, he lives at a hospital near his school. There, he has a few friends. Although, each day, a butterfly tends to come and visit his hospital bedroom window, an odd occurrence, to put it in simplest terms. Alongside this, Hajime Hinata is what people would call a normal boy. His life usually was nothing to write home about, and he was at least able to realize that.
