He grabbed my wrist before my foot could cross the invisible border and pulled me back. He placed his strong, big hands onto my shoulders and turned me around so I was facing him, inches away from his body I look up into his dark amber eyes.
"What did I tell you about this? Don't. Go. Into. The. Woods." He said in a hushed voice as it was around midnight now and everyone was asleep.
I gave him a smirk with a small glint in my eyes " You. Can't. Make. Me." I whispered. He loosened his grip and with that I turned around quickly and ran into the woods...

Ivy just finished college and got her new job as a writer at the biggest company in her town. Her town though, is different from any other town in the world. On the west side is a giant spread of dark woods. These woods don't just have wild animals and rodents, but demons and deathly creatures that have been killing curious people in the town for the past decade. She is one of the curious people in town. Ever since she was a child she always wondered what was it like in the dangerous woods.
One night she goes to the border of the woods and instead of walking through it, she finds herself bumping into a large wall of muscles.

Alex had a tough childhood which ended into him becoming a sentry guard of the woods on the west side of a little town called Serenity Lake. He is granted the fast speed and reflexes to do his job correctly; don't let curious and stupid people die from crossing the border.
One night when he discovers evil doing in the forest from the creatures that have a plan of overrunning the system, Alex has to act fast. Not only being assigned to this what seems like a impossible mission, but he has to keep a special girl unharmed through it all.
