Caught in, quite literally, the most unfortunate scenario she could imagine, Maria is forced to serve one of the 4 most dangerous giants in her kingdom. 
She's obviously not too thrilled about it, either. But when a strange disease plagues her master and forces them to spend almost every minute with one another, Maria discovers that perhaps "dangerous" was an exaggeration.

He'll find that life gets more eventful with the four, and his love for borrowers grows, but always remember that it all started with one tiny neko. His best friend becomes the fifteen year old Jessica, despite being in his twenties/really-really early thirties (I never really had a set age for him and you'll notice the same with Jessica). This shows that when it comes to a borrower and giant's bond, age doesn't matter. Because Jame, a giant, becomes best friends with Jessica, a tiny Neko
