Starting high school can be a scary thing.

Celeste Cavendish knows this first-hand. Knows that guys are a pain in the neck, and girls can be total drama-starting-queens. Middle school was already too full of drama for Celeste to take. High school? Celeste's expecting worse to come. But surprisingly, her ninth grade experience is far nicer than previous years.

But school still has a long way to go. Celeste is not letting her guard down anytime soon. But... What will happen when Celeste starts crushing on a boy? A boy who seems like a hard-core player?

Ever since her horrible crush experience from second grade to seventh, she's sworn off boys. It's worked all throughout eighth grade and the summer, why should she break it now? Life without heartache and boys were a lot easier. But of course, your heart will never listen to your mind.
