"Why won't you answer any of my questions?" Carl asked with his forehead scrunched as he looked puzzled at the girl across the street from him.

"Because you haven't bought your time yet. You don't own me, Gallagher." She smirked. "No one does." She winked as she turned around and walked into her house, leaving him stunned.

Beanie Wilde grew up on the south side of Chicago, but after a horrible accident with her parents, shes put into foster care and is taken in the care of two people on the north side at the age of 11. Her foster parents, knowing of the horrible accident, give her money instead of care, though she didn't need their money. She had a way to make her own. They put her in homeschool until sophomore year. They let her stay in her old house and go to the school on the south side. She promised herself to keep her life a mystery. But Carl Gallagher doesn't like that.

Carl Gallagher's eyes catch a pretty little thing the first day of 10th grade. He didn't want to keep his eyes off her and certainly not his hands. He wanted to know everything about her, but she didn't. Carl Gallagher isn't one to back down.
