After Yuka ran away, she has been trying to avoid everyone she knew. She didn't go to school anymore just in case they asked questions. She was upset she couldn't fulfill Ms. Yui, Mayu, Sakutaro, and Seiko's requests to say hi and her promise to Seiko. Satoshi is frantically looking around for his little sister and asks all her friends if they have seen her. After Yuka runs into this woman who takes her in and cares for her, she starts to wonder if this is a better life for her. As she is here, she finds out the lady has kids...a 18 year old son named Ayumu, and a 16 year old daughter named Konata, she starts to call them big brother/sister.
