If he fails and takes a nibble of Boris, the deal is off. Boris never expected the bloodthirsty vampire to last longer than a day. But Etienne is not what he expected at all. While he may not be dangerous to the people of Pinewood, however, he definitely is dangerous to Boris in all kinds of other ways.
