The War changed everything, but the biggest change was yet to come. The society was going to be divided into 5 Factions - Abnegation, Amity, Erudite, Condor and Dauntless, each of them led by different priorities, each of them trying to find peace and new meaning in this New World.
It's only been 34 years since the War happened in year 2020 and 30 since the new Chicago City was founded and the new social structure was introduced. Many people still remember what it was like before the War. It's hard for them to fit in, but they have to try as best as they can for the sake of the whole community.
People born into this world have it easier, but sometimes it's still difficult to find the right way. The Aptitude Test is supposed to help people see their destiny and where they belong. Most of them get a clear answer, but some are conflicted.
After The Choosing Ceremony, the contact between the members of one family from different Factions is forbidden. "Faction before Blood" they say, but how are you supposed to forget about someone, with whom you've spent your whole life?
There are exceptions of course, but there is less and less of them made nowadays.
Go on a journey with characters from different worlds, trying to find themselves and each other and answers to many questions they have. Can you love someone who is the complete opposite of you? Does it get easier over the years? What are you prepared to do for the ones you love? And most importantly, is it possible for two people, from two fundamentally different worlds, to trust and understand each other enough to fall in love? True love prevails..so they say.

Third book after Jaime, and Angelica. Angelica's sons are grown and they are meeting their mate. He had an idea, that was all. He wanted to help his people as a whole. He didn't think he'd be the first to try it out. His life was turned upside down, but maybe that was a good thing. But how does he cope with mates that are more wolf then man? It's hard to have a relationship when your mates don't talk much. (Told from Blake and Andrews mates point of view.) Excerpt: Okay, I admit that this was my idea but, I didn't think that Alpha would send me. Yes, pack exchange would help to freshen packs. Blood, minds, get packs that were stagnant and stuck decades in the past to move forward. I recommended enforcers, warriors and Omega's, positions that would do the most good. I was none of those. I was just a random beta with barely the wolf to keep my position and not fall down a rank. But my alpha said that the other packs were not so keen on doing it. So he was going to lead by example. All known packs were put into a database by the council and random generators paired packs to exchange people. Since alpha wanted to lead, we were first to get paired. We got paired with a pack across the country. My flight out had been uneventful thankfully. Most of my things had been shipped, I had two suitcases of things I was wheeling toward the exit of the airport. Supposedly this pack had sent someone to pick me up. {BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong? Before the fall of Earth humanity built a great colony ship, ten thousand of the colonist left Earth for a hundred year journey to Gillespie. They came from all over the Earth leaving a planet knowing they would never see another in their lifetime. The Ark is a rotating cylinder the size of a large island with its own train system. It's divided into three main sections, the city, the framlands, and the Lowers. The people are divided into three groups as well, Uppers, Middles and Lowers. Uppers are made of elite scientist, Astro-crops, bureaucrats they made up about 3% of the population. The Middles are are the farmers, the guard, teachers, doctors, the food processors, clothes makers and of course the mechanical maintenance workers. They make-up the 97% of the 10,000 counted citizens. The lowers are criminals and children born to un-paired parents. They live separated from the middles and Upper. In lowers you work in water reclamation or in one of the fish farms that supply protein to the ship. In the year 2149 Dylan De Rovia is trying to wrap her head around the idea that in two year's she'll be paired. That they call marriage on the Ark. Pairing is good most who are paired do end-up staying together because while genetics play good part in determining a match so does personality. Some people choose to use spend this time having a good time with as many partners as possible. Dylan however, vowed that she would never fall in love with anyone before pairing. The universe had other plans however, when Dylan learns that she'll pair with an Upper named Kyive Sinclar life gets more complicated than ever. Falling in love is hard enough falling in love in space that the story.Complete

At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term. Within the midst of learning how to raise children and balance her ever-building career, Agnes tries to recover from her mother's death, seek comfort without complicating her circumstance, and figure out why her mother would name her Agnes.
