Starflake is an excitable and friendly molly, honest and caring, with a spirit that is easily seen through her ice-blue eyes and bright smile. Her positive attitude makes her just about everyone's friend, and adds up to her good reputation.
Thicket is a rather unpopular tabby tom, easily scared and not very likable by most other cats. His playful attitude and willingness to help is hidden underneath his suspicious outlook as a cat from a place outside the forest. 

Both cats' lives become intertwined as they meet in the aftermath of a forest fire, caused by a violent thunderstorm. Humans invade and destroy the remains of their forest home, and keep chasing after the surviving animals as they, Starflake and Thicket included, move from the forest to each new biome. Talk spreads among the survivors that a traitor is leading the humans towards every new home they find and destroying them, leaving every animal to become distrusting and unreliable - especially towards Thicket. Starflake, as determined as her new friend to prove him innocent, sets off on an adventure to uncover the "traitor," discover the truth about the humans' destruction of the many new homes the animals had made, and unravel her's and Thicket's true destinies.

A/N: Sorry this description is so long! I just wanted to put as much "thrilling" information in the description to attract readers to get to this story! Some of this is inspired by true, real-life events that actually happened to my friends and I, just mixed in and enhanced by a drop of my imagination. Or two drops.

In the year 2025, 30% of all animals had evolved into anthropomorphic beings after a series of experiments. Due to having mostly humanoid features aside from speech they were given basic human treatment including freedoms, rights, and education while the ones not used in the tests stayed the same. Since then, life on earth has truly changed a lot. A couple of years have passed and both humans & furries have been peacefully living amongst each other, but life wasn't perfect for everyone. Sean Grey is a young adult human with an amazing personality and overall perfect physical health, but is sadly hunted by nightmares inflicted by his own parents who were not only cruel to him for years, but at age 16 they threw him out and replaced him with a furry as their new child. Sean's parents weren't the last people to torment him for Sean suffered many other brutal beatings. This was what life was like everyday until a female furry with a motherly heart whom he grew attached to decided to take care of him not just as a friend, but as his adoptive guardian. While the harassment ended before he finished grade school, he never went out after dark. Personally, I never saw myself as an optimistic person. I never really had any friends, I didn't share feelings for people, I never really had any social life whatsoever. My life was always boring. Especially when I was younger. My parents were sucked up alcoholics, we never had the money to do anything due to my mom quitting her job and my dad being a selfish prick. Though, I'm now an adult; 18 years old. No longer in school. I have job at Walmart as a nightshift stocker; my mother's friend gave me the job. It's summer, so I'm not working as much. I have a small friend group, containing people of 4. Me including, Nathan, Carly, and Dalton. We've known each other since early middle school. I, Kyle, have known Carly and Dalton since grade school. It is rolling up to be Summer. Us 4, have decided to make this Summer year the best of our lives. Pineneedle, Willowbranch, Maplespots and Amberleaf are the leader's kits. Naturally, a lot is put on their shoulders because of this, especially Pineneedle. Pineneedle struggles under his parents' expectations of him. He overworked himself one day and went to visit the medicine den, until something strange happens to his body... Willowbranch is the least liked by her parents. She longs for intimacy with some cat. She tries to get close with other cats but often fails. When out on a patrol, she finds a ThunderClan cat speaking to her urgently about something terribly wrong inside his Clan... Maplespots has always been abnormally strong. After all, she is the daughter to one of the strongest cats in the forest. She has always had a bit of a murderous touch, ever since she was a kit. When a Dark Forest cat comes to visit her in her dreams and nurtures this, it's up to debate what kind of a cat she is. Kind and loyal, or dangerous and evil. Amberleaf never believed in StarClan. This might not be too much of a problem if she were training as a warrior, but she was training as a medicine cat. When she reveals she doesn't believe in StarClan, cats around her believe her to be invalid as a medicine cat. She is diverted to warrior training, and it fills her with rage that the cats around her won't let her chase her destiny as a medicine cat because of her beliefs.
