Perseus Jackson needed a new beginning after the tragedies of the giant war. With the constant reminder from his missing leg and dysfunctional shoulder, he needed a good distraction. So when Hecate came to him, offering him a new start, it was pretty hard offer to resist.
Harry Potter is hoping for a normal year at Hogwarts. Yes, he had been offers a spot as an Auer which meant he didn't have to retake courses but, with Lord Voldemort finally gone for good, he needed a break.

Things are at the beginning of the approaching war. He hears about a new subject that every fifth, sixth, and seventh year is required to take. However, that was before they seemed to forget all about him. He at least had his brother, Harry Potter, but he too had gotten no letters from their friends. Then one day a small creature wearing a pillowcase showed up in their shared bedroom and told them that they absolutely, positively could not go back to school under any circumstance. Of course, the small creature wearing a pillowcase was resolutely ignored and they went back to school to start their second year anyway. Then things started to go wonky, what with all the strange voices and massive spiders. But then things got even stranger. Percy Jackson, a demigod well known. He just came back from his battle with Gaia, still shaken up from the experience. One day, he came back to camp only to see Chiron asking him to go to a quest. Chiron wants to know if the wizards can be allies, but one problem. Voldemort is still alive. He came back after escaping death again, tricking the God Hades, and in the process getting the God angry. Percy needs to go to Hogwarts, a school for witchcraft and wizardry. Harry Potter, killed Voldemort. He finished his last year in Hogwarts, but was asked to retake the year, since the experience affected their education. When he gets to school he meets this weird exchange student. He excels in all classes, and is friends with almost everyone.
