"Whether we were happy or sad, does it matter? All I know is that I wish to return to those warm summer days." There's a library on Verbena Street. It's covered in vines and chipped paint. The bricks are cracked and the roof tiles are close to falling off. It's clear that the library is quite old yet if you ask around, no one can seem to recall when the library was first built. All they can tell you is that the books are always clean and well-kept, the flowers on the porch haven't changed for twenty years, and a foul-mouthed librarian names 'Al' lives within it. There are many rumors about 'Al'. Some say he was a runaway soldier from Levan, hiding in an enemy nation to escape persecution. Others argue that he was an immortal sorcerer planning to destroy the continent, biding his time. There are even those that swear he's behind the recent kidnappings of children from noble families. This doesn't discourage a group of curious students from the nearby academy from visiting the library though.

Once again I was wrong He walked back and forth in the shadows, the darkness obscuring him to the point of a silhouette. But as he went I noticed his form change and blur, sometimes resembling that of a child before shifting into something much bigger and hairier then morphing back again. "Oh Fin haven't you realized it yet" the voice asked mockingly, "us deities and gods alike have been watching you closely, seeing how you stack up against what this world has to offer" I heard a laugh "and frankly I have to say, I'm not impressed". He let a sliver of his face be shown in the firelight I had been so wrong "Tell me who you are" I ask, although the answer couldn't have been clearer. Once again he laughed, a strange and horrifying mix between that of a child and a beasts. "I really don't see how it matters" he finally says, "you'll die all the same" The campfire went out leaving me in darkness
