Scarlett St John. What a beautiful name right? Scarlett is the biological daughter of Elena Gilbert and her mysterious fling from 16 years ago. Once Scarlett was born Elena was frightened not knowing what to do with this child, she left her daughter with her best friend Bonnie Bennet and her husband, Enzo st John. Together the couple raised this beautiful child but as the child got older they noticed not only did she resemble her mother, she was her mothers doppelganger. This of course freaked some people out including Damon Salvatore, Elena Gilbert's lover from 17 years ago. Damon had grown very close to Scarlett, but is it only because she looked exactly like his forbidden love from 17 years ago? 

Let's fast forward to when the child is 16. What happens when she starts getting old visions of "some girl" who looks exactly like her? What if that girl was her mother, she just didn't know it. And how would the lives of the people in Mystic falls change when the famous Elena Gilbert finally returns? 

**yes I am using characters from the vampire diaries in this story but I did change some things about them or what has happened to them so it will not be exactly like how the show is.
