Hugh had been obsessed about battling anytime he can get his hands into it. Frankly, he passed up his classmates and seek for a better challenger, a gym leader he had battled a dozen times once a week and never seems to give himself a break.

Rosa is a rising star struggling to get people to appreciate her hard work and effort. She struggled with rumors and people being fake around her. It's a lifestyle she can't shake, but she often wish things can be the way they use to be.

Hugh and Rosa were childhood friends and haven't seen each other in years. As Hugh waited for his gym challenge, he decided to kill time and never expected to run into Rosa when her Pokémon came running to report that she's in trouble. Things escalate from there...
