Remus, to put it in the most simplified way, is... you know what he is. So when Remus becomes infatuated with Patton, he has a suitably Remus-y way of showing it. None of the sides were particularly worried by this. (After all, it was just Remus being Remus as usual.) Not until Remus and Patton became a couple and Patton claimed it was "cute." Most of the sides' are too bewildered by the whole affair to be worried. But not Logan.
At least intrusive thoughts don't have any real impact. That's what Logan tells himself.
