When fourteen year old Kaylessa Dorvalur's mother, queen of the elves, dies in battle against the goblins, she ascends to the throne after her older siblings trick her into thinking it would be easy to run a kingdom. But when the legendary Crystal of Energy goes missing on her watch, it's up to her and her best friend Alison to find the legendary crystal. Little does she know, they are not the only ones looking for a crystal. While in an abandoned cave, they learn that they weren't the only ones looking for the Energy Crystal. A goblin, fairy, Nightflier, and a dragon that sucks at flying, had been searching for the same Energy Crystal.
When the new friends find an old stone, they realize it hadn't been an accident they lost the powerful crystal, but prophesied long ago. Will the children of Xitika be able to fulfill the prophesy? Or will they give up all hope on finding the missing crystal, plunging Xitika into utter destruction?
