This is a fun story I started making when I started writing for the first time ever. It's not the best, it is my first writing after all, but it taught me a lot. But now, around a year later, I am remodeling and finishing this story. Hahaha it is a lot of work but a lot of fun, and I can see that I love writing. I'm working on it, and I think it's come a long way since the time I had first made this story. :) Cheers!

Ghost in the Shadows
When I first met him, he was feral-like a smart Neanderthal. He blended with the Oregon forest like the predator himself, but at least this one, you could look at. I was just trying to get justice for my friend, chasing a story that felt too important to ignore. But instead of answers, I found Aaron Hallam. I nearly died protecting him in my own home, and when I thought he was gone for good-erased by LT, I threw it all away. Moved back to New York. Tried to start over. Then, just when I thought I'd left it behind, I ended up on a blind date with a predator of a different kind. I almost became another missing girl, trafficked and forgotten. But Aaron-the supposedly dead fugitive-came back like a ghost, slashing the bastard up before he could lay a hand on me. Now I'm stuck with him again. And honestly? I'm good right here.

I jumped up and looked around my room. I had the same dream again. I sighed and wiped my face, I got outta bed and walked into the kitchen. I poured me a glass of water. I turned around and squealed. The cup slip out my hand, but Kai caught it before it hit the ground. "Oh my gosh you scared me." I said panting. "Sorry, you couldn't sleep either?" He asked and handed me the cup back. "Yeah something like that." "What'd you mean?" "I keep having this nightmare." "Oh" "Yeah" We stood there in silence until Kai turned to leave. "Wait." Kai turned around and stared at me. The Winged

Verge of Insanity
My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. I ran as fast as I could go, eyes searching the forest floor for a big stick or something that I could use to defend myself. "Mara Leigh!" the voice came again, this time more insistent. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks.
