-"And it's like the sky is new."

Sit and think. That's all young Aizawa Shota could do. He couldn't focus on anything else ever since Shirakumo Oboro was pronounced dead at the scene where he'd last seen that boy's confident smile. They had formed some working relationships here their teamwork was in total sync. That all came crashing down, no pun intended. All Aizawa was now was a plain, empty shell of a human training to be a pro hero.
On a clear evening, as the serein coated the grass around his home like a gentle blanket, a familiar cat scratched at his window screen. The cat 'belonged' to Shirakumo, the one he'd left his umbrella for in an effort to sort of attention to the cat. He ended up opening the window and letting the cat it, smothering the feline with attention due to "instincts". Really, Shota just missed the cat. When he finds himself cold and ready to get a sweater with the window left open, he finds that tonight would be a night he'd never forget.

There'll be angst drabble here and there, hopefully, there will be a happy ending. I'm not sure where this will go after this February 2020 edit.

April 2020 edit, the title was changed to actually suit the story. "Lanterns"? I'm not sure lanterns are even mentioned here, haha-

It was obvious that he didn't recognise him in the slightest. Hizashi was completely frozen as Shouta came closer to him, hoping for some sort of realisation. Still nothing. His uncoordinated legs fell out from under him and he crashed back to the ground. Shouta put a hand to his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down, but he clawed desperately and flipped over, thrashing around to get Shouta off of him. Shouta held on. It was the source of the burning smell, and looking at it made him sick. ●○°•♡•°○● ●○°•♡•°○● ●○°•♡•°○● TW: Alcohol, violence, blood, language None of the art shown is mine!

Shouta Aizawa has always been a villain. it's all he's ever known, though it's taking a heavy toll on his mind, sending him down into deep, mental spirals. Hizashi Yamada has been hunting the notorious hero killer, tracking him down and searching for anything he can grasp, and he takes it upon himself to recruit Shouta himself as his fellow partner, unknowing of his true self. Shouta felt an instant connection with Hizashi, but if he ever foumd out who he truly was, it would tear both of their worlds apart. ●○°•♡•°○● ●○°•♡•°○● ●○°•♡•°○● "In all honesty, you're the only person I've found myself to care about. I know it sounds bad but I don't want anyone to be my friend, or care about me, or even to have someone of my own to give a shit about. Hell, I don't even care about myself anymore." He paused, shifting positions slightly. "I have no idea why, but you really are my whole world, Zashi. I just met you, so I don't get it. I don't know why I care about you so damn much." Hizashi cupped Shouta's face in his hands, comforting him while he spoke. "Is that what love is?" He asked, inching closer to Hizashi and putting his own arm around him and hugging him tightly. "Sounds like it to me." Hizashi whispered, hugging him back. *If you really loved him, would you be lying to him about who you are? Even though you know what'll happen if you're found out? He wouldn't love you. You'll only hurt him.* ●○°•♡•°○● ●○°•♡•°○● ●○°•♡•°○● This story is loosely based on the song Oh Ana by Mother Mother!
