After the Stain incident Midoriya Izuku's view of the world changes bit by bit.
All Might starts pushing him more and more to be like him until Izuku almost breaks.
Then he meets Shigaraki at the mall

Shigaraki has taken interest in Midoriya and decides to approach him at the mall just to find out about the way Midoriya has started to think about the world: there is no black or white, just different shades of grey.
