the Graysons fell that night. three of them from trapeze wires, one into the water. when Dick fell ino the water, he nearly drowned, grabbing onto a log to survive. the log drifted, leaving dick alone on a formerly volcanic island. his explorations found him a new family, a crocodilic human in the sewers of gotham and the daughter of two major criminals, until batman put the Croc in arkham,and pulling the children into the care of the justice league.

Liam was being hunted by every villain in Gotham. Every criminal was after him and the worst part was his adopted family didn't know about it at all. On the other side of the city was the batcave. No phone. No weapon. No help. Gotham is filled with backstabbers and two faced villains, you can't even call for a taxi without every thug in Gotham knowing about it.
