After the citys most known Entertainers Viantastic, Fyrus, Jaymoji, and Etcesona are arrested for multiple crime charges. All four of the same former entertainers were missing a week after their arrest. None of them have been able to be tracked down as well as their police reports missing. With no trace of them in sight and no evidence to their disappearance everyone questions where they are now.

Some of which could have spelled the end of Inkling-kind and the end of the world, but now a year has passed and things have finally settled down for the New Squidbeak Splatoon. Sort of... DJ Octavio is still loose, and a band of criminals and disgruntled turfers has made a name for themselves in Inkopolis. And to make matters worse, the Great Zapfish has been stolen!...again. At the same time, a few creatures, the likes of which the world thought would never see again, has stepped back out into the light to a world they are never prepared for. But there is more to these creatures than it meets the eye. Can the heroic agents of Splatoon save the day yet again? And can these creatures cope with this new world they're thrusted into.
