Ariel has always loved animals except for snakes. One year for summer vacation her family went to Chincoteague island which is off the coast of Virginia and Maryland. They get to see the wild horses that lived there. On Assateague island they saw a wild horse eating grass and Ariel was able to get within six feet of it and said hi how horses say hello. When her family started to walk towards the horse the horse ran away. Two weeks later they go to Arlington national cemetery and that's when Ariel got to talk to a bird. Then she did volunteer work at the local animal shelter the next summer. She also took some animal husbandry classes at CCAC.(aka: Community college of Allegheny county.)
